Caitlin Clark's Facial Expression During Indiana Fever's Blowout Loss Says It All

Things could not be going much worse for Caitlin Clark to start her professional career. The Indiana Fever are 0-2 to start the 2024 WNBA season, having lost both games by a combined 57 points.

Clark's performances have been so-so. Both the Connecticut Sun and New York Liberty played a physical style of defense against the former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar, and it's worked for the most part. She scored 20 in her WNBA debut, but coughed up 10 turnovers. She scored nine points, grabbed seven boards and dished out six assists in the Fever's stunning 102-66 loss to the Liberty.

This is the last thing women's basketball fans were expecting from Clark and the Fever. They aren't supposed to be this bad, especially considering they have a roster with the last two No. 1 overall picks in Clark and Aliyah Boston. So what's the issue? Is it coaching? Is Clark a bust?

Whatever the reason may be, the WNBA season is already starting to take a major toll on Clark. Her facial expression after getting subbed out in Indiana's blowout loss to the Liberty truly says it all.

    Check this out:

Yikes. Caitlin Clark is going through it.

Keep in mind, Clark just left one of the best team's in college basketball to get drafted by the worst team in the WNBA last season. It's going to be an uphill battle for Clark and the Fever to become a formidable team.

Until then, Clark has to manage expectations. She's not going to be an immediate superstar and the Fever aren't going to be a championship contender from day one.

Clark and the Fever will try to get in the win column for the first time this season in a rematch vs. Sabrina Ionescu and the Liberty on Saturday.
