It feels like over the past few months, no matter where you turn, news about Caitlin Clark is swirling.

After her meteoric rise in the world of women's basketball over the past couple of years landed her with the Indiana Fever at the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark has seen her name, image, and likeness plasters across the face of the sporting nation.

With all of the accolades and praise she gets, though, there is some backlash and annoyance to go with it. In Clark's WNBA debut earlier this week, she had 20 points with four three-pointers made. She also had three assists but turned the ball over 10 times.

During the 92-71 loss to the Connecticut Sun, some fans caught video of the rookie superstar complaining to the referees about a foul call during a break in the action.

Basketball fans who have watched Clark's career for the past couple of years are well aware of her tendency to get into the ears of officials and complain about their calling of the game. During March Madness earlier this year, Clark's dad even made headlines for yelling at her to stop complaining to the refs during the middle of a game.

Suffice it to say that seeing Clark complain to the refs in her WNBA debut came as no surprise, in the slightest. However, it did still cause a few fans to show frustration on social media, calling out her tactics.

Clark and the Fever face off against Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty on Thursday night, so we will see if the complaining persists, or if she tones it down a bit going forward.
