INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – An Independence mother needs help. She’s desperate to find a camper that had her late daughter’s belongings. Her daughter was killed three years ago in Kansas City .

We’re told so much more than a camper was stolen from outside a home in Independence.

Some of the last items of her late daughter stolen, along with a camper that was parked in front of a mother’s house in Independence.

“Angry, hurt and we’ve already lost her,” mom Erin Nicole Cobbins said.

An empty spot where the stole camper once sat matches Cobbins’ feelings, missing her 19-year-old daughter, Kailey Love.

She was killed three years ago this week.

Cobbins kept Love’s things inside a camper, the one that was stolen, near 20th and Harris Avenue.

“I just cried, I’m just kind of heartbroken,” Cobbins said. “I mean it was her stuff and all the stuff from her apartment, memories and photos and things, you know, that I had planned to share with her daughter.”

Ring Doorbell footage shows Cobbins’ camper parked outside her house Tuesday morning at 4:25. She said by 5:15 it was gone. Along with all of her daughter’s memories.

Cobbins remembers two men who recently approached her, wanting to buy the camper.

She told them her daughter died and it house her belongings.

“It’s not so much about the trailer, it’s the stuff that was in the trailer,” Cobbins said, “like we can’t get those things back.”

Love was going to school to be an aesthetician.

Cobbins is missing her daughter’s notebooks filled with Love’s handwriting of plans to open her own spa.

Cobbins had plans to share these treasures with Love’s now 4-year-old daughter. She wants Love’s little girl to know her mom.

“I know that the stuff wouldn’t be valuable to other people, but I wanted to be able to go through that stuff. So, she would have a better idea of who her mom was, since she passed away just right before she turned 2, and she will never get to know her,” Cobbins said.

She said the thieves took off with her camper in less than five minutes.

Cobbins is offering a reward to anyone who helps find the items.

“Just please return the things,” Cobbins said. “They could just drop them off in the yard. We just want the stuff back.”

“You can have the trailer, we just want the stuff back out of it,” Cobbins said, “that stuff would mean a lot to her daughter, since she won’t ever get to make any memories or anything
with her. I can share the memories of her with her child.”
