Red foxes venture out during daytime: reports
College Park residents have been reporting more red foxes in the city this spring. Joshua Tabora, a furbearer biologist for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, said the foxes, which are nocturnal animals, often emerge during the day in the spring as they search for food for their newborn kits. Furbearer biologists are professional wildlife biologists who monitor populations of fur-bearing mammals.

Local restaurateur takes over Werner's Diner
A downtown Baltimore diner is under new management, marking the second major change for the longtime restaurant in less than five years. Werner's Diner & Pub is now run by Clark Hospitality, a group that has ties to Prim & Proper across the street and Papi Cuisine in South Baltimore. The 74-year-old diner previously underwent an ownership change in 2021 when Ray Crum of Pete's Grille bought and renovated the space.
