Droves of Long Islanders headed to the Cinema Arts Center in Huntington Sunday for the second annual Long Island Jewish Film Festival.

The six movies that are being screened during this event include some kind of special element.

The film "The Ancient Law" included a live score by a violinist and pianist.

Another movie, "Brighton Beach," feartured a conversation with the director.

The festival is presenting what organizers call a selection of films at the forefront of Jewish cultural storytelling which include silent films, documentaries, dramas and more.

David Schwartz, curator at large at the Museum of the Moving Image, also curated the event.

"We want people to have an emotional experience and to have something to think about, about some aspect of Jewish identity, what it means. There's many, many different stories you can tell about what it means to be Jewish, but I think always the best films are always movies that make you think but also leave you with an emotional experience," he said.

    The festival runs through Tuesday.
