ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A boil advisory that was in effect in Huntertown for two days has been lifted, town officials announced Tuesday.

Huntertown Utility Service issued a boil advisory Sunday for water usage as a precautionary effort to protect the health and safety of citizens.

“Huntertown Utilities is aware of and is addressing the water pressure issue that has affected the Huntertown Utility Service Area. Please be advised that the entire Huntertown Utility Service Area is under a boil advisory until further notice,” Hannah Walker, Huntertown Town Manager, said in a statement to WANE 15.

According to an update Tuesday on the town’s Facebook page , the boil advisory was lifted once testing was complete.

Because of the advisory, Northwest Allen County Schools implemented a “Synchronous Learning” schedule for Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 for the following schools:

    • Huntertown Elementary
    • Aspen Meadow Elementary
    • Cedar Canyon Elementary
    • Eel River Elementary
    • Carroll Middle
Brooks BBQ and Chicken closing Electric Works location to focus on food truck and travel catering

This means students log in at a specific time and participate in live instruction with their class, NACS communications director Kristen Valdez explained.

The school district announced plans to return to its regular schedule Wednesday.
