Police: Montage Mountain adult pool party ends in fight, stabbings, arrests
SCRANTON — Three people were charged Friday after the first Adult Swim party of the season at Montage Mountain ended in a parking lot fight and two people stabbed. Nyree Keyna Tawanda Pemberton, 25, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Divine Naysa Nari Taylor, 22, is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. Both Pemberton and Taylor are from Ithaca, New York, and remain at Lackawanna County Prison.

Dog abuser sentenced in Luzerne County
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A man will spend at least four months behind bars for abusing a dog in 2021 in Luzerne County. Terik Wiggins and Shaniqwa Scott dumped an emaciated, flea-ridden dog in Pittston. The dog, now named Nova, has since been adopted by Pittston's former police chief.

Luzerne County man sentenced for deadly DUI crash
In Luzerne County Court a Nanticoke man who admitted to driving drunk when he crashed his vehicle that killed his friend and a woman in December of 2021 was sentenced to up to 10 years in state prison. 43 year old Edward Gordon, of Garfield Street, was sentenced on charges of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence and driving under the influence. Gordon pled guilty to the charges in April.
