FOX 26 Houston Weather Forecast: The heat continues
Be safe in the heat on Memorial Day! There is a Heat Advisory for all of southeast Texas in effect until 10pm Monday. Houston will see peak afternoon feels-like temperatures from 108-113 degrees. Late Monday afternoon into Monday night there is also a possible risk for some strong to severe storms, mainly in the north and western FOX26 areas. These isolated storms could bring heavy rain, strong winds, or hail. There rest of the week will see seasonal temperatures and a few afternoon showers/thunderstorms.

Authorities are on the hunt for suspects responsible for the armed robbery of a United States Postal Service (USPS) letter carrier in Spring, Texas, and are offering a hefty reward for tips that could lead to an arrest and conviction. The USPS Postal Inspection Service announced a bounty of up to $150,000 for information directly assisting in the capture of individuals linked to the crime that took place earlier this week.
Mail theft arrest: Harris County Deputies capture repeat offender with counterfeit keys and stolen mail checks
Benjamin Williams, 19, has been arrested for the second time for stealing mail in the Spring area. In Friday’s arrest, Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputies pursued Williams in a vehicle that refused to stop, traveling northbound on Stuebner Airline Road. The pursuit ended when deputies managed to stop the vehicle at FM 2920 and SH 99, with no injuries reported.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - On Friday, Jason Spencer was arrested for violating an emergency protective order by Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies. According to MCSO, Spencer, the Chief of Staff for the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called around 3:54 p.m. to an address in The Woodlands after reports Spencer was at the residence.

A Houston man has landed himself in cuffs after allegedly exploiting a dead woman's credit card, among other potential scams. Dustin C. Mitchell, 43, faces a series of serious charges, with FOX 26 Houston reporting that he's accused of credit card abuse. He was granted release on a $15,000 bond last Friday afternoon, but a fresh fraud charge slapped on the same day ensured that Mitchell remains behind bars.
