Iowa Publisher Says Local Newspapers Are Making a Comeback
(Sheldon, IA) -- Small town newspapers are still holding strong, and keeping them going and thriving is the mission of one Iowa publisher. "There's this idea out there that newspapers are dying or newspapers are dead, and there's no possible future, and being in the newspaper business, the exact opposite is the truth, " said Peter Wagner, owner of Iowa Information Media Group, which publishes several newspapers in western and northwest Iowa. He says his biggest challenge is finding qualified staff to fill open positions.

Sioux Center man arrested for felony eluding
Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center man has been arrested on felony eluding charges after a chase in Sioux Center. According to a criminal complaint filed with the Sioux County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Sioux Center Police Department, 18-year-old Raul Nicolas Diaz of Sioux Center is accused of not stoping for law enforcement and resisting arrest. He was arrested on Saturday.

Sioux Center City Council looks toward additional housing

The council approved official support for a developer’s application for state tax credits to help add a multi-family area in northeastern Sioux Center.
