Man arrives drunk to serve time in jail
ROCK RAPIDS—A 38-year-old Luverne, MN, man was arrested about 6:50 p.m. Friday, May 19, in Rock Rapids on a charge of public intoxication. The arrest of Bradley Dean Schweitzer stemmed from him arriving at the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids to serve time and being found to be intoxicated, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Sanborn man cited for meth residue in bag
SHELDON—A 20-year-old Sanborn man was cited about 8:50 a.m. Saturday, May 20, in Sheldon on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. The citing of Johnathon Robert Emmons stemmed from the stop of a 2006 Ford Expedition for an equipment violation at the intersection of Second Avenue and Highway 18 in Sheldon, according to the Sheldon Police Department.

Sioux County Authorities Investigating Shooting Incident
Sioux Center, IA (KICD)– Authorities in Sioux County are investigating an incident reportedly involving the discharge of a firearm last week. The incident occurred around 6:30 Thursday evening on 371st Street, one mile north of Sioux Center, when a homeowner says a bullet came through a window and hit a cabinet in the home not causing any injuries.
