Elm Grove OWI arrest; was driving 5-10 mph on Watertown Plank Road
ELM GROVE, Wis. - A 32-year-old man from Lannon was arrested on Tuesday, April 23 in the parking lot of St. Mary’s School in Elm Grove for operating while under the influence. He was stopped by police after officers observed him driving approximately 5-10mph on westbound Watertown Plank Road.
Waukesha homeless population; camps popping up
WAUKESHA, Wis. - A Waukesha man said he wants his new neighbor to leave. The tenant is staying in a tent near his house. Near Broadway and Les Paul Parkway, Larry Wolfgram said a homeless person is living on property behind his house. Police say the land is owned by Salem United Methodist Church.

WAUKESHA, Wis. - Sex offenders released from prison are living on the streets of Waukesha. It has happened twice in the last week. The lunch lines at Waukesha’s Hope Center are longer than ever before. Executive Director Ralph Zisk said numbers have doubled since the organization moved into its new location at East and Broadway in January.

Police said law enforcement with Washington County received a phone call Monday around 5:28 p.m. saying someone shot an arrow at the playground equipment at Centennial Park. An officer responded and met with the caller, who stated she heard a “ping” sound and a child who was playing on the playground equipment, said they found an arrow.

April 24, 2024 – Hartford, WI – At 2:33 p.m. on April 24, 2024, Hartford Fire & Rescue responded to a reported fire on the roof of a single-family residential home. Germantown board selects new principal for Amy Belle Elementary School
The Germantown School Board recently approved the appointment of Lindsey Chandelia as the new principal at Amy Belle Elementary School starting on July 1. Chandelia is current associate principal at Horizon Elementary School in the Pewaukee School District. Chandelia taught in kindergarten, first and second grade prior to moving into administration.
