Taco Bell is determined to make 2024 its biggest year, yet, and the fast-food chain is now testing two new items that could really bring some competition to other food chains.
These products were announced at the Live Mas event at the beginning of the year and they are expected to be released later this year, but knowing they are in a test phase is exciting and it brings us that much closer to seeing these on menus across the country.
Chicken Nuggets at Taco Bell
Taco Bell is testing Crispy Chicken Nuggets and Churro Chillers, but they're being offered at different locations.

The Crispy Chicken Nuggets are available in Houston, Texas, while the Churro Chillers are being offered in Dallas and Chicago. If you don't live in those cities, don't despair! Taco Bell has said these are among the items to be released nationwide this year , but we just don't know when.
The Crispy Chicken Nuggets are made with all-white meat chicken, marinated in a mild jalapeño buttermilk, and breaded in a coating that has crunchy tortilla bits in it. That sounds amazing!
These nuggets can be paired with Taco Bell's signature Bell Sauce, which is a savory and tangy sauce with "subtle notes of chili peppers," or Jalapeño Honey Mustard Sauce, which combines sweet honey, spicy jalapeño, and tangy mustard.
The nuggets come in a five-piece order ( which is 340 calories) and a choice of one sauce. This is available for $3.49 to $3.99.
The 10-piece nugget order (clocking in at 680 calories) comes with a choice of two sauces and retails for $6.49 to $6.99. It is important to note that prices can vary by location.
Taco Bell first introduced its Crispy Chicken Nuggets as a test last October, at select locations in Minneapolis, so this is the second test location for them. We hope they catch on because they sound amazing!
Taco Bell's Milkshakes Will Bring Everyone to the Yard
Taco Bell's Churro Chillers (which are 480 calories) are available in four flavors- Sweet Vanilla, Mexican Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Coffee, and Wild Strawberry. These blended drinks, priced at $4.19, have crunchy churro crumbles on the bottom and top of the beverage.
We've reported on them before, but now we know where they are being tested and that means they may be closer than ever to reaching other locations.
The company tested the Churro Chillers and Coffee Chillers in Southern California last December. These were the chain's "first-ever frozen coffee and shakes."
Other New Items
Earlier this week, the chain unveiled its all-new $5 Discovery Box , which will be available every Tuesday through June 4. The bundle includes a Crunchy Taco, a Doritos Locos Taco, the new Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco, and a medium fountain drink.
Taco Bell also recently announced that its testing a new Agua Refrescas line, which is made with real fruit.
The chain also rolled out its new Nacho Fries with hot sauce company, Secret Aardvark. These feature seasoned fries topped with slow-roasted chicken, a three-cheese blend, reduced-fat sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and Serrabanero Ranch sauce.
