Woman fatally shot in head after argument with another woman over a man in SE Houston, HPD says

The Houston Police Department is searching for a 21-year-old woman accused of fatally shooting another woman on the city's southside of Houston.

According to police, there was a large BBQ with several people on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Belarbor.

Officials said there was a disturbance that broke out between the suspect and a woman, reportedly over a man.

At one point, the suspect reportedly took out a firearm and shot the victim in the head once before fleeing, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead. Police reported no other injuries.

Several witnesses spoke to HPD regarding the shooting. Officials say it is unclear if the two women were familiar with each other.

The suspect is described as a woman who is 5 feet tall with a medium build.
