    Houston Police: Officers respond to alleged assault on hospital staff

    The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

    Between May 6 and May 12, the Houston Police Department answered 190 calls for service and initiated 32 traffic stops resulting in nine citations and 32 warnings.

    • On May 6, officers responded to the 700 block of Bryan Street for a domestic dispute. The parties involved separated for the day and no charges were sought.
    • On May 6, officers were dispatched to Texas County Memorial Hospital for a juvenile male who had assaulted hospital staff. No injuries were reported. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office.
    • On May 6, officers cited Gaylord D. Ragain, 64, of Houston, and Justin P. Scholz, 42, of Houston, for passing a school bus while loading/unloading.
    • On May 7, officers responded to a private property motor vehicle crash on Opportunity Circle. No injuries were reported.
    • On May 10, officers responded to the Houston House for a reported theft. The investigation is ongoing.
    • On May 10, officers arrested Jodi Arthur, 40, of Houston, on an active Texas County warrant per charge failure to properly affix/fasten to or maintain motor vehicle/trailer plates. Arthur was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was able to post the $120 cash-only bond and was released.
    • On May 11, officers responded to the 700 block of Bryan Street for a domestic dispute. The parties involved separated for the day and no charges were sought.
    • On May 12, officers responded to Corner Express for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
    • On May 12, officers responded to the 300 block of South First Street for a theft. The investigation is ongoing.
