LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — A 6-year-old child was found dead in a Garland County apartment Monday after authorities responded to a possible shooting on the property. Marian P. (Daniel) Owens Ingram Shultz, age 86, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Thursday May 18, 2023, at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. She was born September 17, 1936, to the late W. Elvis Daniel and Arline McCulloch Daniel in Searcy. Marian is also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Daniel, and sister, Emma Grace Daniel.

Leo Edward Cepicky Jr., 81, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away May 17, 2023. He was born November 21, 1941 in Saint Louis, MO, to Leo and Henrietta Cepicky. Leo enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a huge fan of all sports. He was a member of the Hot Springs Village Anglers Club and Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Catholic Church.
Fence built sans permit approval
Projects started or completed before obtaining a permit continue to be investigated by Hot Springs Village Property Owners' Association compliance staff. Several such projects were approved recently by the POA Architectural Control Committee, but a fence built with non-compliant materials at a San Jose Lane home failed to gain ACC approval and was referred back to the compliance division for action. However, the San Jose home's landscaping was approved.
