Hopewell Police Department hosting Prescription Drug Take Back event

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — The Hopewell Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are collaborating to host a Prescription Drug Take Back.

On Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hopewell Police Department’s parking lot, located at 150 West Randolph Road in Hopewell, there will be a Prescription Drug Take Back.

According to police, the DEA and its partners will be collecting tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs.

Syringes, sharp objects and illegal drugs will not be accepted. In addition, liquid medicines like cough syrup must remain sealed in their original containers with tight sealed cap to stop leakage.
