Hopewell Library hosts Parent Resource Fair, unveils new Nursing Mothers’ Room

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — The Appomattox Regional Library Hopewell Branch is hosting a Parent Resource Fair and Nursing Mothers’ Room Dedication next week.

On Wednesday, April 3 at 6 p.m., there will be a Parent Resource Fair and Nursing Mothers’ Room Dedication at the library, providing parents in the area with essential resources.

According to a library spokesperson, the event will include an evening of information tables, pajama story time, crafts, giveaways, free baby supplies and a clothing swap.

Participants can expect the following events to take place at the library:

Nursing Mothers’ Room Dedication

• At 6 p.m. the Nursing Mothers’ Room Dedication will begin in the children’s section. Visitors can expect to tour the new room for nursing moms.

Pajama Story Time

• At 6:30 p.m. Pajama Story Time will start in the children’s section. Wear some comfortable pajamas and cuddle with your favorite teddy bear during story time.

Local Author Alayah Jenkins

• At 6:45 p.m. in the children’s section, join story time with 9-year-old author Alayah Jenkins, who transformed experiences dealing with with bullying and eczema into children’s books.

Baby’s First Library Card

• Sign your baby up for their first library card. In addition, you’ll be able to savor the moment with a keepsake photo. To enroll your little one, bring a government photo-ID, proof of address (address change card, utility bill or pay stub).

Giveaways

• The Southside from the Heart table will have beautiful baby blankets, according to a library spokesperson.
• Local author, Melissa Face will be giving a way free copies of “I Love You More Than Coffee: A Guided Journal”
