HPD opens murder investigation following Wahiawa shooting

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu police have opened up a murder investigation following an apparent shooting in Wahiawa that left one man dead.

HPD responded to the call shortly after 9:30 p.m. at an illegal game room in the Wahiawa area.

According to police, three adult males entered the game room where an incident occurred between them and the male suspect.

HPD said the suspect shot all three males before fleeing the scene on foot, along with other patrons in the establishment.

Honolulu EMS responded to the scene around 9:40 p.m. and treated all three victims.

EMS transported two of the male victims to the hospital in serious condition. Officials pronounced the third male dead at the scene.

Officials said they are still processing the scene as evidence is being examined and analyzed.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
