HONOLULU (KHON) – Chinatown Honolulu is set to undergo a spooky transformation on Friday, April 26, as it plays host to an unexpected springtime fright fest.

“FRIGHT NIGHTS: Halfway to Halloween,” promises an evening of thrills, scares, and devilish delights, with multiple restaurants in Chinatown collaborating to create a night to remember.

It’s not your typical spring event. Instead of blooming flowers and sunny days, attendees can expect to be immersed in a world of horror, complete with a bar crawl, horror movie screening, DJs, and sideshows.

The festivities kick off at 7:00 pm and will continue until 2:00 am.

“Even if you’re not into horror or Halloween stuff, it’s good vibes. We have the good food and good drinks,” said event organizer Noa Laporga.

Participating venues include NEXTDOOR, Obake, Skull and Crown Trading Company, and Tlaxcalli, each offering Halloween-themed drink and food specials.

Entertainment for the evening includes sounds provided by DJs Caldee, Rhombus, Nocturna, Victor, and Marq of the Beats.

Attendees can also enjoy a screening of the 1985 cult classic horror film Fright Night and witness a Halloween-themed drag show featuring performers Mallibu Del Way, Melody Lucas, and Tara Way.

To ensure a seamless experience, attendees will receive wristbands granting access to all participating venues.

Tickets are $13 in advance and $20 at the door, subject to availability.
