Walk to Help Homeless Vets Set for Saturday at March Air Reserve Base
Several hundred people are slated to turn out Saturday for a fundraiser walk around March Air Reserve Base in Moreno Valley to raise money for homeless military veterans. “We’re raising money to ensure no veteran lives on the streets that they fought so bravely to protect,” according to the nonprofit U.S. Vets Inland Empire, which is hosting the inaugural Steps for Vets.

Dog dies in Banning house fire. Several others rescued
Firefighters were able to rescue several dogs from a burning home in Banning Monday afternoon, but, one dog died at the scene. The fire was reported at around 5:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Almond Way. Advisory: Suspects Identified and Arrested for the Assault of Two Teenagers Near a Local Park
According to a news release, on Friday, May 3, 2024, Yucaipa Station deputies were dispatched to a local gas station where a victim was located with multiple lacerations and a stab wound from a knife. Victim No.1 was transported to a local area hospital by AMR for additional treatment. A short time later, deputies learned a second victim was at a local area hospital with multiple stab wounds. Both minor teenage victims were treated at a local hospital for their serious injuries and later released.
