Buena Vista Road closed, three light poles damaged
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A portion of Buena Vista Road is closed from 5936 Buena Vista Road to 6028 Buena Vista Road due to damage caused to three light poles. According to Columbus Consolidated Government the road is expected to be closed until 6 p.m. and officials are working to repair the damage.

Strong to severe storms end Friday morning
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - After two rounds of strong to severe storms Thursday and Thursday night, one last wave of heavy rain and storms is moving through early Friday morning. Storms will be capable of producing 60 mph gusts in spots in addition to very heavy rain and frequent lightning. The hail and tornado threat is much lower, although not quite zero, especially south of Highway 80.
