The world has lost a ground breaking acting legend. On March 29th, 2024, Louis Gossett Jr. passed away in Santa Monica, California. He was 87 years old. Gossett Jr. was born in 1936 in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. After obtaining a sports injury at age 17, he was encouraged to participate in a school play. It appears that a struggling chain may have recieved a desperately needed lifeline. The restaurant industry has been in a tailspin since covid, especially in the casual dining and bars segment. Some of the chains also have gone above and beyond lowering margins and in some cases quality to keep the lights on.
