West Ottawa celebrated 23 seniors who are headed to the college ranks next year.
The Panthers hosted their annual signing celebration day on Thursday where all senior athletes who have signed or committed to colleges come together.
Three-sport star Chelsea Overbeek committed to Alma College for basketball. After a season where she helped the Panthers reach the regional finals and was named honorable mention all-state, Overbeek will play in the MIAA and have games back in West Michigan when the Scots face Hope and Calvin.
Some have signed much earlier in the year like Miss Basketball winner Gabby Reynolds signing with George Washington and swimmer Kalyna Pyk signing with Toledo.
Those are the two NCAA Division I signees, along with track athlete Quinten Tirado, who is headed to the University of Detroit Mercy and Lydia Tubbergen, who will cheer at Western Michigan.
Desmond Chapa leads the Division II group. He signed with Grand Valley State for track and field.
Meanwhile, Davenport will get football players Carter Scholten and Nick Catton as well as swimmers Ella McNeely and Owen Carlson.
Division III commits include Elliot Dozeman at Hope for tennis, Tyler Berens at Hope for lacrosse, Eli Armstronag at Baldwin-Wallace for lacrosse, Cayden Brummerl at Alma for soccer, Diana Campagne for lacrosse at Alma, Noah Carithers for lacrosse at Adrian, Elliot Kraker for football at Adrian and Mark Veldhof for lacrosse at Adrian. Elle Wheelock will play soccer at Concordia-Chicago.
CJ Guillermo will run track at Aquinas, Will Niziolek will play golf at Ave Maria University, Parker Behrendt will run track at Muskegon CC and Chloe Rooks will run track at Grand Rapids CC.
