Two Arrested for April Robbery of 4-Mile Market
According to Sheriff Shane Fisher, two suspects are now in custody for the robbery of 4-Mile Market, which took place on April 13, 2024. Christopher Michael Ludington, age 20, of Pulaski, and Angela Breanne Sumners, age 21, also of Pulaski, were taken into custody at their residence last week following a thorough investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. The Pulaski Police Department and the Giles County Sheriff’s Office assisted the WCSO in the investigation and arrests.

Lewis County can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Hughes Lions as the Lewis County Panthers made off with a 13-5 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Lewis County considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
National Day of Prayer Ceremony Held at Waynesboro Flagpole
National Day of Prayer was last Thursday, May 2, 2024. Clergy members from across the county led prayer at the flagpole on the courthouse lawn. The theme for the 2024 National Day of Prayer is “Lift Up The Word – Light Up The World.” The theme comes from the book of 2 Samuel, Chapter 22, Verses 29-31: “For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.”
