Berrier drives in five in Carroll win

Britt Berrier drove in five runs and Carroll County banged out 12 hits April 30 to lead the Cavaliers to a 15-3 Three Rivers District win over James River in Buchanan.

Berrier went 2-for-4 to lead the Cavalier hit parade, including a two-run single in the second inning and a two-run double in the sixth. Ben Phillips went a perfect 4-for-4 with a run and RBI each, while Cody Reece scored three times and drove in a run in a 2-for-4 effort. Avery Hart added two hits and two RBI for Carroll (10-3, 4-3 Three Rivers District) and Mason Crockett scored three runs and walked three times.

Jack Meredith added a hit and two RBI and Maddox Lyons scored two times and drove in a run for the winning Cavaliers. Gage Nicholson started for Carroll and threw three hitless innings to pick up the win. He allowed just one unearned run.
