A doorbell camera in Hillsboro, Oregon, caught footage of an alleged kidnapping, showing both the victim and the accused suspect on screen.

The victim was later found and the suspect was arrested.

In the wee hours on Monday, the Hillsboro Police Department received a report that the incident was caught on a Hillsboro resident’s doorbell camera.

The victim, a woman, was seen on camera asking for help at around 10:45 p.m. local time Sunday before a man rushed up to the door, picked her up and ran off. He then left with her in a white pickup truck, police said.

The owner of the house with the camera said she did not know the parties involved.

“She looked scared. In her voice, you could tell she was frantic, and she needed help, and the way she grabbed onto the door in the video when you see it, that is like, not normal,” homeowner Marisol, who only provided a first name, told KGW-TV.

Using the footage, both people were found. The pair were known to each other and police said in a second release Tuesday that it was not a random attack.

Neither the victim nor the suspect are being publicly identified at this time. The accused man has been charged with kidnapping, police said.
