Portland bike count begins following 37% decrease
PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The numbers are officially rolling in as the Portland Bureau of Transportation kicks off its annual bike count. Between Tuesday and Sept. 28, they’ll use volunteers to collect data from 300 biking areas around town. This comes after numbers in PBOT’s 2022 study showed a 37% downtrend in city bikers between 2019 and 2022.

There are not many pool players who can point to their first recorded years competing for money in the sport and note that in the course of their first year, they won five of the seven events in which they cashed. Portland, OR’s Molina Ortíz is one of them. In her first year of (known) competition anywhere (2022), she won the Northwest Women’s Pool Association Tour’s first three events, held between July and September. She finished as runner-up to Liz Cole on the 4th stop in October, closed out the 2022 season finishing 4th in the final stop in December and became the tour’s Player of the Year.
