Craigsville granted $3.8 million by newly passed state budget
RICHMOND – Craigsville’s infrastructure debt and incorporation woes are over. Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed Virginia’s 2024-2026 biennial budget just hours after it was passed by the General Assembly Monday. AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for the Stuarts Draft women who has been missing since last Friday. Augusta County tax deadline extended
VERONA – The Augusta County Board of Supervisors extended this year’s tax deadline from June 5 to June 21. The change comes due to the reassessment process. According to Deputy County Administrator Jennifer Whetzel, a delay in procurement led the tax bills being mailed later than usual. The mailing delay pushed the staff to request the deadline delay from the supervisors.

VERONA – The Augusta County Planning Commission will take up a request to "construct and operate a large solar energy system" spread over five sites. The fenced-in acreage of the project, the way solar energy systems are categorized in Augusta County, is approximately 470 acres. About 114 acres would be directly under panels. Including all other land uses, the total project acreage is 1,693, located in Urban Service Area or Community Development Area of the comprehensive plan.
