BNSF Gives Intermodal Network Update After Flooding in East Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas – BNSF gives an intermodal network update after flood-related track outages occurred in Texas. After high water levels in the area, the Class I was able to re-route traffic in the Fort Worth subdivision between Temple, Texas and the Texas/Oklahoma border. Its teams were able to complete track repairs as the water levels decreased because it had “recovery equipment and materials pre-positioned.” The main track resumed service on Tuesday, the 7th. That same day, a derailment occurred in the subdivision near Clifton, located 39 miles northwest of Waco. The main track opened on the 9th, “but customers should expect lingering delays into next week as traffic normalizes.”
