Mooks bounce back big against Bulldogs
After getting shutout for the first time this year in a 28-0 loss at Banks, the Tillamook High Cheesemakers recovered in with a 48-0 win over the Woodburn Bulldogs at home on October 16. In front of a crowd celebrating both Homecoming and Senior night, the Mooks kept their playoff hopes alive ahead of their regular season closer against the Astoria High Fishermen Friday on the road. “I thought our guys did a good job of executing the game plan and playing with good energy,” said Tillamook Head Coach Kye Johnson. “We had a great crowd; it was Homecoming and Senior Night, so it’s always nice to make some plays and put on a good show for a special event like that.” Led by senior quarterback Kevin Hurliman (8-for-13 passing, 123 yards, touchdown) and senior running back Aden Camachao Garcia (227 all-purpose yards, two rushing touchdowns), the Mooks took control of the lopsided contest early and controlled the tempo of the game from start-to-finish. “Aden has been getting stronger and more confident each week after he returned to the lineup after recovering from an injury,” Johnson said. “He made an impact on the game in rushing, receiving, in the return
