Route 10 in Richmond to close for permit work Wednesday
RICHMOND — Permit work will cause the temporary closure of all lanes of Missouri Route 10 Wednesday morning. According to a news release, MoDOT crews will be at the Routes 10 and 13 interchange from 10 to 11 a.m. to attach an overhead aerial line. The Richmond Police Department will assist with traffic control.

TikTok user Mississippi Memaw (@mississippimemaw) shared a video on May 1. It showed her ordering a Dr. Pepper from her local Sonic Drive-in restaurant. The pickles she added to the drink turned out to be the twist that made the video go viral.
Douglass School Project receives grant to help restorations
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Douglass School Project, in Higginsville, Missouri, announced that it is a recipient of a grant awarded by the National Park Service. The award comes through the African American Civil Rights (AACR) grant program. The amount awarded is $209,800. Part of this money has been earmarked for a historic structure survey which helps outline steps needing to be taken to moved forward with the restoration for the Douglass School. The remaining money would be used to replace exterior windows to prevent any further damage to the building.

Two drivers injured in crash on I-70
Two people were injured Monday afternoon after a crash on Interstate 70 in Cooper County. An 18-year-old man from Odessa was driving a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix westbound near mile marker 105 just before 5 p.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. His vehicle crossed through the median, struck the cables, entered the eastbound lanes and struck a 2017 Freightliner MT55, the report said.
