Now through April 26

Create positive change in our community by providing essential personal care items to support United Way of Sumner County Agencies who serve moms and babies. Did you know that a one-week supply of diapers can cost around $20 and the average family will spend $1,000/year on diapers and close to $500/year on wipes? In addition, the average woman spends about $10 on feminine hygiene products per month, adding up to about $5,000 over her lifetime!

47% of families reported diaper need in 2023 and, according to the National Diaper Bank, “1 in 2 U.S. families cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry, and healthy. These babies are more vulnerable to painful rashes and urinary tract infections and have more trips to the doctor. 3 in 5 parents miss work or school because they can’t afford the diapers required to leave their baby in Childcare.”

A recent Harvard Public Health reported that women often have to choose between buying diapers for their babies or feminine products for themselves because they can’t afford both.

With the rising costs of gas, groceries, and toiletries, families are struggling, now more than ever, to cover the costs of basic care items like diapers, wipes, and feminine products which are vital to personal health. But YOU can help!

United Way is collecting diapers, wipes, feminine products, and personal care items for Moms and Babies from April 1 – April 26 to be distributed to their United Way Partner Agencies who serve moms and babies.

The musical instincts and stage presence of this up-and-coming band leave audiences in awe.
