East Syracuse, N.Y. — It had been nearly 30 years since Sackets Harbor won a section championship in softball, but their crew was determined to change that and they did. The sixth-seeded Patriots defeated top-seeded Cincinnatus, 7-3, in Wednesday’s Section III Class D final at Carrier Park to claim the championship.
