    More details announced in KSP investigation of fatal collision with trooper

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police are continuing the investigation into a motor vehicle accident that resulted in the death of an off-duty trooper in Bowling Green on Tuesday.

    According to a release, 48-year-old Trooper Jonathan Johnson was operating a 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle while traveling south on Nashville Road. At the same time, a driver was traveling northbound on Nashville Road in the center turning lane. KSP says the driver made a left turn into the path of Trooper Johnson, who was unable to stop or avoid the collision.

    Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
