Used cooking oil theft? Men allegedly filled their tanks at Lehigh County businesses.
Two men stole two tankloads of spent cooking oil last month from Lehigh County businesses, state police said. Pennsylvania State Police in Bethlehem stopped the thieves headed east on Route 22 near Schoenersville Road after 8 a.m. April 13. They had a generator, pump and two large tanks full of spent cooking oil in their van, police said.

Allentown couple killed after being hit by a car Friday night
A husband and wife in their 80s were killed Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while out on a walk, Lehigh Valley coroner Daniel A. Buglio said Saturday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the area of West Chew Street and North Main Street in Allentown when the couple was believed to be out on an evening walk, Buglio said in a press release.
Man attacked woman in front of young child in Bethlehem, cops say
A Monroe County man is accused of assaulting a woman in front of a young child in Bethlehem. Christopher Stepien, 37, of Kunkletown, is charged with felony strangulation; felony sexual assault; misdemeanor child endangerment; and misdemeanor stalking. Those new charges follow previous charges filed by city police of misdemeanor simple assault; misdemeanor making terroristic threats; and summary harassment.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem City Council will consider changes Tuesday in how it accepts public comment, after several marathon meetings that strayed from municipal business. Hours of city time have been taken up by people speaking about the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian enclave 5,700 miles from Bethlehem.
