The Los Angeles Police Department’s new $1.7 million Wilshire Division police station at 4861 Venice Blvd. was dedicated in this photograph in the May 9, 1974, issue of the Park Labrea News. Capt. Robert S. Tucker, third from right, participated in the flag salute with other members of the command staff. It marked the second move for the police station, which was established in 1922 on Wilshire Boulevard in the Koreatown area, and was later located at 4526 W.
