NorthWoods Strings (NWS) invites the community to an April 27 concert that will honor their founders, Dayle Quigley and Randy Sabien, as they celebrate their 20th anniversary of bringing string music education to rural northwestern Wisconsin.

NWS current UW-Superior students and alumni will collaborate to present an exciting blend of classical, folk and orchestral music with a premiere performance of their first student-composed piece for orchestra.

The concert will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Hayward Center for Individualized Learning in the Retreat Home Furniture building next to Walmart off Hwy. 77. Admission is free.

Audience members may bring freewill donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the Hayward Community Food Shelf. NorthWoods Strings, an innovative nonprofit organization, provides access to quality string music education and instrument rental across rural northwestern Wisconsin. For more information, visit www.nwstrings.org, or email nwstringsmusic@gmail.com. NorthWoods Strings believes music has the power to bring people together. They recognize and value diversity, and we welcome everyone.
