Hattiesburg police arrest two burglary suspects inside home

HATTIESBURG, Miss. ( WHLT ) – Hattiesburg police arrested two burglary suspects inside of a home.

The incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 at a home in the 200 block of Parkdale Drive.

Man wanted for human trafficking in Jasper County

Police said the suspects, Deonta Bender, 22, and Germany Underwood, 18, forcibly gained entry into an unoccupied home.

Officers said they responded quickly to the scene thanks to help from the public. They located the suspects inside the home and arrested them without incident.

Both Bender and Underwood have been charged with one count of residential burglary and one count of possession of a stolen firearm. Police said Bender also had four active arrest warrants issued by other area law enforcement agencies.

Bender and Underwood have been transported and booked into the Forrest County Jail.
