Five Guys, a popular fast food burger joint serving hand-cut fries, made-to-order burgers, creamy milkshakes, and hot dogs, recently broke ground on a new location at 6950 S. Iconic La Pops to open new location this month in Abilene
Abilene's La Pops, the iconic yellow building on Arnold Blvd., is planned to open a new location, putting them back in the heart of the city, and just around the corner from an old location. "We're happy to be back in the middle of the city because we're kind of on the outskirts of Abilene," said La Pops owner Yolanda Salazar. "A lot of people still don't know that we're open or that we even exist, just because of where we're located. So it's kind of exciting that we're actually in the middle of the city." The new location is 1441 Barrow Street, where the old Papa Murphy's was, and will feature a drive-through window, which the current location lacks.
