Sports 10/26: Dogs fall to Alma; Perryville blanks Two Rivers
Junior Dalton Shirley had a third consecutive 100-yard rushing performance, but the Devil Dog offense as a whole struggled most of the night in a 27-14 loss to Alma in a crucial 5A West Conference showdown on Friday night at Devil Dog Stadium. Shirley finished with 100 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and was named the Conway County Farm Bureau Insurance Player You Can Depend On. Sophomore Maddox Turnipseed was named the Colton’s Offensive Player of the Game, completing 11-of-18 pass attempts for 114 yards. Senior Champ McNabb caught ten passes for 114 yards and, with 205 career receptions, now holds the school record for career receptions, breaking the mark previously held by Josh Trezvant…
