    HS Track: Hasbrouck Heights Boys and Girls Sweep NJIC American Division Titles

    2024 NJIC American Division Boys and Girls Track Champions

    EMERSON, NJ – Hasbrouck Heights swept the NJIC American Division Track Championships, with both teams winning by runaway margins.

    The girls’ team captured the title, compiling 289 points to Bogota’s 69.50.  Ridgefield Memorial was third with 57, Elmwood Park was fourth with 28.5 and Lodi rounded out the top five with 16 points.  Palisades Park (14), Wood-Ridge (10) and Mary Help of Christians Academy (2 points) rounded out the field.

    On the boys’ side, the Aviators won with 249 points, with Lodi in second with 76. Elmwood Park was third with 56, Ridgefield Memorial (31) fourth, Bogota (27) fifth and Wood-Ridge (24) sixth.  Palisades Park was seventh with 10 points.

    Boys event winners included Ryan Ober (400 meter hurdles, 800 meters), Michael Napolitano (100, 200 meters), Aidan Morrow (1600, 3200), Sebastian Broncano (110 hurdles), 4 x 400 meter relay (D. Auriemma, Broncano, Max Massa, Armani Mora), Oscar Solis (shot put, discus), Brady Shine (Javelin), and Anthony Cummings (pole vault).

    Girls event winners included Gina Minichiello (400 meter hurdles), Mackenzie Bua (1600), Alexandra Samperi (100 hurdles, long jump, high jump-tied), Elliot Eddy (shot put, discus, javelin), Ellie Shkreli (triple jump), Jasmine Williams (high jump-tied) and Jennie Olivero (pole vault.)
