Barnegat Garden Club Plans Rail Trail Tour
The Barnegat Garden Club will lead a plant tour of the Barnegat Branch Trail on Friday, May 31, beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free. The short, leisurely walk starts at the parking lot by the entrance to the trail. Walkers will stop at the sites of selected plants along the trail and learn about how they have impacted the area historically and in modern times.
Get Jazzed Up With Red Hot Ramblers
Get your fill of Jazz Age tunes when the Red Hot Ramblers romp and stomp at the Ocean County Library Barnegat Branch on Tuesday, June 4, 6:30 p.m. The six-piece band’s set list will whisk you back to the Roaring ’20s with music that conjures up Ragtime, Dixieland and Tin Pan Alley. The group can perform 12 genres, including various styles of jazz along with swing and boogie-woogie.
Pride Month Art at Barnegat Branch
Teens can show support of Pride Month by making a unique memento at the Barnegat Branch of the Ocean County Library on Wednesday, June 12, 6:30 p.m. Premiere Paint Parties will provide the supplies so participants can apply pride imagery in their own personal style with wood panels that they can take home.
