HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Break out your finest dancing shoes and get ready to party, the Pratt Street Salsa Socials are back.

Taking place each month throughout the summer, the events aim to act as a celebration of culture with dancing, music, and good times.

“Salsa is a huge part of the community here in the greater Hartford area,” Chip McCade, Hartford Business Improvement District’s Director of Placemaking and Events, said. “We have a large Latinx community here. Roughly 50% of the city speaks Spanish as their first language so we wanted something that celebrated the local community here. But also it’s an event that everybody can partake in because everyone loves the music and everybody loves to dance.”

The events are free and open to the public. More information about the socials, including future dates, can be found here .
