    Lanes reopen hours after semi fire shuts down I-75 in Harrison Twp

    All lanes on southbound Interstate 75 have reopened after a semi fire early Saturday morning.

    The crash originally occurred on southbound I-75 near the Neff Road exit around 2:15 a.m.

    An initial investigation showed that the driver lost control and hit a cement barrier, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. After the crash, the semi caught on fire.

    The driver of the semi was able to escape the semi without being injured.

    The Harrison Twp. Fire Department arrived on the scene and put out the fire.

    The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) arrived on the scene and later replaced the cement barrier that was damaged in the crash.

    As News Center 7 previously reported, the crash had shut down southbound traffic. The contraflow lane reopened around 5:45 a.m.

    The crash was cleared around 7:30 a.m., according to deputies. The two right lanes reopened around 10:20 a.m.
