Boothbay/Wiscasset boys’ track and field team places 6th
The Boothbay/Wiscasset boys’ track and field team finished sixth out of 19 Mountain Valley Conference teams May 4 in Lisbon. This was the conference’s mid-season meet. The team scored 35 points. Lisbon won with 151.5 points. Winthrop finished second with 104. Mt. Abram finished third with 68.5. Mountain Valley had 47 and Buckfield scored 36.

Portland, Maine -The Portland Sea Dogs (16-11) fall short in 4-3 loss to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (15-12) on Wednesday night. Marcelo Mayer blasted his third homer of the season in the bottom of the eighth while Blaze Jordan extended his league-leading hit streak to 16 games. Theo Deninger tossed 2.0 scoreless in relief.
