Treasure Hills to hold event announcing new ownership

HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Treasure Hills Golf Club will host an event Thursday evening, where it will announce its new ownership.

Treasure Hills, which opened in 1991, has a new owner; the Cristiano family. The purchase was finalized on April 9.

The course, which sits on 189 acres, was described by Fairway Advisors as “one of the Rio Grande Valley’s best layouts.”

ValleyCentral spoke with Alexa Cristiano, the head of management for Treasure Hills Golf Course. Cristiano asked for golfers in the area to follow the course on social media to stay up to date on future projects and tournaments.

Among some new additions is a Toptracer range that is being constructed near the course’s entrance. Toptracer Range allows golfers to trace their shots, as they play against friends or play virtual games.

Construction is expected to be completed within the next five months, Cristiano said.

“We have a wonderful team, We’re very blessed. We’re family-owned and the previous owner did an excellent job,” Cristiano said.

The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, where there will be food, music and drinks for attendees.
