Hardin Lady Bulldogs bring home Second Place Trophy from State basketball Tournament
The Hardin Lady Bulldogs came into the State Championship game with absolute fire to start the game in Bozeman, MT on Saturday night. Dierra Takes Enemy would take it right to Havre’s powerful big, Yelena Miller, and reel off the first 7 points for Hardin. Then it was Aiyanna Big Man’s turn. The Senior guard would use a series of moves to put stellar guard Amaya Jarvis on her back and get the uncontested layup. In the following play, Big Man would find herself face to face again with Jarvis and she would pull a move out of her bag of tricks to put Jarvis on roller skates, step back and hit a long three to put the Hardin faithful on their feet.

Lake Monsters nab medals at state swim meet
The Lake Monsters, a local swim club with around 40 members, had five swimmers finish in the top 25 at the 2023 Montana Swimming Short Course State Championships, held last month at the Hardin Community Activity Center. They also also finished third in the state out of 11 teams competing in the Montana Swimming Short Course Junior B-C Championship Meet, held March 3-4 in Missoula at the University of Montana.

Chamber sees $45,000 for Depot repairs
Hardin will receive a check for $45,000 this month, as a result of a tourism grant that the Chamber of Commerce applied for and won. (Bozeman) – The Havre Blue Ponies and Hardin Bulldogs met Saturday Night in the Class “A” Girls Basketball Championship Game at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman. The Blue Ponies utilized a total team effort to secure their third straight Class “A” Girls Basketball State Title with a 74-57 victory over the Bulldogs. As a team, the Blue Ponies shot 56 percent from the field, 50 percent from behind the arc and 71 percent from the free throw line.

Fundraiser held to keep murdered woman top of mind
It’s been more than three years since the body of Kaysera Stops at Pretty Places was found by a local man jogging by a home in Hardin. Yolanda Fraser, Kaysera’s grandmother, continues to seek justice for Kaysera and her goal is to always keep people talking about her and not forgetting her. The days have been kind of quiet lately with the winter storms and cold temperatures keeping people at home. We hope you can join us for congregate meals soon. It is best to get out and socialize and be in conversation with different people. The home delivered meals have really been picking up, with more residents becoming home bound in Hardin. We offer curb side pick up meals each day as well.
