    SCHP seeks suspect in fatal Jasper Co. hit-and-run

    SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is searching for information related to a fatal hit-and-run in Jasper County.

    According to officials, a bicyclist who was later identified as Terrence Davis, 61, of Hardeeville suffered fatal injuries after being hit by a vehicle sometime between Sunday, April 28, at 10:50 p.m. and Monday, April 29 at 6:10 a.m.

    The deadly crash happened at Plantation Dr. (SC-46) near Coleman Loop. Officials say that the suspect’s vehicle continued EB on Plantation Dr. traveling away from Hardeeville toward SC-170.

    Although the exact make and model of the vehicle are unknown, officials say they believe the vehicle was a Chevrolet pickup or SUV manufactured between 1999 and 2007 with frontend or windshield damage.
