Backus Hospital internships for people with disabilities are a win-win: a 60-second read
United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Eastern Connecticut will run the Project SEARCH internship program at Backus Hospital in the fall. This unpaid internship will give people aged 18-35 with intellectual or developmental disabilities various jobs around the hospital for nine months, while they learn skills to get into the workforce.

Norwich ― The Sachem Fund is back after a seven-year hiatus for at least one more round of grant applications to fund projects in the city. The fund was created by former Mayor Benjaman Lathrop and leaders of the Mohegan tribe in 2007 to support economic development, historic and cultural activities and neighborhood revitalization. New Norwich special education program will keep students in district: how it's a win for all
A new special education program in Norwich will save the district money and keep Norwich students in the city. The Norwich Board of Education approved the creation of the Rose City School at Bishop special education program Tuesday.
