Moundsville's Echo newspaper explores revival after 133 years in print
MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — The Echo newspaper was a longtime publication in Moundsville that recently ceased publication. But it could potentially see a new future?. According to a sign on the front door, after 133 years, The Echo is closed. However, NEWS9 reached out to owner Charles Walton about this with him saying in a statement on Monday that he's "exploring options,” with the possibility of crafting a weekly edition of the popular publication.

SHS Alumni Awards Reception
New this year Under the Big Top’s Alumni Awards Reception was held on Saturday night replacing the traditional banquet. By all accounts, the new event was a big success. Two of the highlights of the night were the amazing appetizers and desserts catered by Rivers Edge of St. Marys, and music provided by Remedy. Alumni Historian Jamie Hissam presented awards to parade winners and chapel speakers. Winning the 1st place float was the Class of 1979. The 2nd place float went to the Class of 1974 and 3rd place and the President’s Choice award went to the Class of 1984. Chapel speaker winner for SHS was Brent Ash, Class of 1984 and Tyler Consolidated Chapel Speaker winner was Alexis Billings, Class of 2004. The non-Alumni float winner was Angela Watson’s Face Painting.

St.C Post 159 Picks Up First Win
ST.CLAIRSVILLE,OHIO (WTRF) – St.Clairsville Post 159 earned their first win of the season Tuesday at home 15-5 in six over New Philadelphia Post 139. A six run sixth ended the game, Post 159 also banged out 15 hits. St.C is now 1-1 on the young season and travels to Wheeling on Wednesday.
